About Heather Bailey
Leadership mentor, consultant, and partner for wholehearted leadership
Heather Bailey is the founder of ThinkFRESH and a leadership mentor and consultant supporting leaders and organisations to navigate complexity with clarity, courage, and humanity.
With extensive experience leading people and systems across the health and community sectors, Heather brings a grounded, human‑centred approach to leadership development — one that recognises leadership as both a strategic and deeply human responsibility.
Leadership shaped from the inside
Heather’s professional foundation sits in the healing and helping professions, including midwifery and nursing, followed by senior leadership roles within complex health systems.
Her leadership journey has been lived from the inside — carrying responsibility for people, performance, and outcomes in high‑pressure environments. She understands firsthand the ethical tension, emotional load, and decision‑making complexity leaders face, particularly in government, health, and community contexts.
This lived experience shapes all of Heather’s work with ThinkFRESH.
A grounded approach to leadership development
Heather works with leaders and organisations who understand that sustainable performance is not possible without attention to the human systems that hold the work.
Her approach integrates:
Values‑based and ethical leadership
Emotional intelligence and self‑regulation
Psychological safety and trust
Reflection, clarity, and courageous leadership practice
This is not abstract theory or surface‑level skills training.
It is practical, reflective leadership development designed for real‑world complexity.
Wholehearted leadership in practice
Through ThinkFRESH, Heather designs and delivers:
The Wholehearted Leadership Programme
One‑to‑one Leadership Mentoring
Consultancy for government and non‑government organisations
Her work supports leaders to:
Think clearly under pressure
Lead with integrity and confidence
Build trust and accountability within teams
Sustain themselves while carrying significant responsibility
The focus is always on strengthening both leadership capacity and organisational culture.
A leadership partner, not a quick fix
Heather is known for her calm presence, depth of insight, and ability to hold courageous, honest conversations with leaders and teams.
She works in partnership with organisations — listening carefully to context, respecting complexity, and tailoring her work to what is genuinely needed rather than what is fashionable or simplistic.
At ThinkFRESH, leadership is approached not as performance alone, but as stewardship: of people, purpose, and impact.
Let’s have a conversation
Heather works with:
Government agencies and public sector organisations
NGOs and community organisations
Health and social sector leaders
Senior and emerging leaders navigating complexity and change
If you’re seeking a leadership partner who understands both systems and people, ThinkFRESH would welcome a conversation.
